Matheran is Situated at a height of approximately 2600 ft above sea level, it is known for its serene environment, greenery, and beautiful views. Matheran is a popular weekend destination for people seeking a break from their busy life we have curated the Matheran trip from Ahmedabad Gujarat.

Matheran is an eco-sensitive region.  Matheran is one of the few automobile-free hill stations in Asia. Vehicles are not allowed here, and visitors can explore the area by walking, on a horse, or by using hand-pulled carts.

There are 38 spots or "points" as they are commonly called. These points offer breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and forests. The most popular viewpoints are Panorama Point, Echo Point, Louisa Point, and Charlotte Lake, each point gives a unique experience of the natural beauty.

Nature lovers and trekkers visit Matheran for hiking trails. From leisurely walks to challenging hikes, there are options available for all travellers. Some famous treks are the Garbett Plateau, One Tree Hill Point, and the trek to Peb Fort.

Matheran has a pleasant climate all around the year, making it a destination for all seasons. During the months of June to September, Matheran transforms into a lush green heaven with a number of waterfalls. during the winter season (November to February)  cool temperatures and clear skies are added advantages for grat views & hiking activities.

Day 0: Overnight Journey to Mumbai From Home town
  • Group Departure from Ahmedabad/Baroda/Surat, overnight train journey provides a perfect opportunity to unwind and relax after a long day. You can enjoy the rhythmic motion of the train, the gentle swaying, and the soothing sounds as it glides through the night. The gentle rocking of the train often lulls passengers into a peaceful sleep, making it a restful way to travel.
  • Remember all this is possible if you book your tickets in advance.
 Day 1 – Arrival at Mumbai & Drive to Matheran
  • Upon completing your train journey, you will find vehicles awaiting your arrival outside the station, ready to embark on an exciting road trip to Matheran. As you settle into the vehicle, breakfast will be served en route, ensuring you start the day with a satisfying meal.
  • Once we reach Aman Lodge Parking, which is located just 3 km from Matheran Railway Station, participants have the flexibility to choose from three different options to reach the hill station. You can opt for a scenic trek through the picturesque trails, enjoy a delightful toy train ride, or indulge in a horse or hand-cart ride, should you wish to do so at your own expense. For hikers, it is recommended to carry rucksacks or carry bags, as they are more suitable for such trails, while trolleys or duffel bags are best avoided. Prior to commencing the trek, ensure you make all necessary calls, as Matheran has access to only the Airtel and Vodafone networks.
  • Upon arrival at the hotel, complete the check-in procedures and relish a hot and delicious lunch. Take some time to unwind and relax in the comfort of your hotel room before embarking on an exploration of this serene hill station. Visit some of its renowned viewpoints, including the scenic Charlotte Lake, the captivating Louisa Point, and the mesmerizing Echo Point, each offering their own unique charm. Additionally, you can take a leisurely stroll down the mall road, taking in the vibrant atmosphere and indulging in some shopping. Before being transported back to your hotel for a restful night, enjoy a satisfying meal that will truly cap off your day in Matheran.
 Day 2 – Trek to Garbett Plateau Trek or Peb Fort Trek
  • Embark on a captivating trek, where nature's canvas unfolds in its most picturesque form. Following a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we waste no time and set forth on our expedition. The experienced guide or instructor will carefully choose between the Garbett Plateau Trek and the Peb Fort Trek, considering the weather conditions and the fitness levels of the participants. It's a journey that beckons those with an adventurous spirit, craving to explore the majestic mountains of Maharashtra and witness nature at its most resplendent.
  • As we venture towards Peb Fort, we enter a realm where breathtaking panoramas await. Behold the awe-inspiring 360-degree view of the Matheran Hill range, an immersive experience that transcends ordinary sightseeing. Atop Peb Fort, a sanctuary of tranquility awaits, where a humble temple dedicated to Peb Devi graces the summit. Legend whispers that the fort derives its name from this revered goddess. While the historical origins of this fort remain mysterious, it is believed that Captain Dickinson himself ventured here in 1818. With its distinctive elephant-headed shape, this mountain is also known as Vikatgad Fort. A leisurely hike of approximately one to one and a half hours leads us to our cozy abode, where a delightful hot lunch awaits, replenishing our energy for the remainder of the day. With free time at your disposal, take the opportunity to unwind, explore the vibrant markets, or engage in spirited team games at the hotel. And to end the day on a high note, immerse yourself in the rhythm and joy of DJ beats and Garba, dancing into the night, celebrating the magic of your Matheran adventure.

 Day 3 – Free Time at Matheran and Return
  • Conclude your unforgettable Matheran journey by savoring a delightful breakfast buffet at your hotel before checking out. Participants have the freedom to choose between two enticing options: stay in Matheran to explore the vibrant market or embark on a trek down to Aman Lodge, where the final gem of our trip awaits – Panorama Point.
  • True to its name, Panorama Point offers a mesmerizing 360-degree vista of the majestic Western Ghats, the charming town of Neral, and the sprawling valley below. While slightly more challenging to reach compared to Louisa Point, Panorama Point's allure lies in its secluded location at the outermost edge of Matheran. Adventure seekers will relish the opportunity to trek to this remarkable spot. Another name attributed to this point is "Sunrise Point," as the breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset from here are truly awe-inspiring. Although reaching the point may require some effort and timing, the reward is well worth it. If luck favors you, you may even catch a glimpse of the enchanting toy train passing by during your visit.
  • After indulging in some leisure time at Panorama Point, it's time to bid Matheran farewell. At 2:00 PM, we'll commence our journey back to Mumbai, with an estimated arrival time of 6:00 PM. As the sun sets on your marvellous Matheran tour, cherish the memories created and the beauty witnessed, knowing that the allure of this enchanting hill station will remain etched in your heart forever.
